Let’s Talk Bookish—One Must-Read Book

This week’s topic comes to us from Mikaela @MIKAELA READS who asks: What is the one book that you recommend to everyone?

There are some books that are just required…or at least you personally think they are! Maybe it’s a book that changed your view on everything, or maybe it’s just the BEST vampire book ever written. What book do you try to get everyone in your life to read, even the non-readers?

As much as I rave about The Pillars of the Earth, I totally get that 806 pages of cathedral building in the 12th century might not be for everyone. I do recommend it to people who are up for the, uh, challenge…but that’s not universal.

However, Counting by 7s…that is a book that I pimp to anyone who will listen. It’s funny, it’s heartwarming without being cloying. It restores at least a little faith in humanity. It features characters that you will root for, characters that you want to WIN, and when they do, well, you might actually whoop. It’s a really good read.

Also, the best vampire book ever written is Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill. Yeah, I said what I said.

So, what is the best book that you don’t recommend because it’s a little too niche, the best book that you actually do recommend, and the best vampire book? I’ll take your answers in the comments.

The Let’s Talk Bookish meme is hosted by Rukky @ Eternity Books & Dani @ Literary Lion.
