This week’s question comes to us from Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews) who asks—
Have you been listening to virtual author events?
I don’t typically listen to a virtual author event because, for me, there is not enough interaction. They feel very impersonal, which I get is a hallmark of the times we live in, but it still doesn’t interest me. I will watch a Facebook Live with an author, but with those, you can at least ask questions. Even if your question doesn’t get answered, it still feels more interactive.
I also don’t usually go to in-person author events either, though. I am neither a fan of crowds or of waiting in line. I would prefer to read an in-depth profile or interview of an author any day.
How about you? Do you like the virtual events? If there were any that stood out to you as being well-done, I’d love to hear about them in the comments!

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book-related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog

I agree 100%. I don’t like crowds either (hence the name, Bashful Bookworm!)

Haven’t done any virtual author events – but then I hadn’t really done non-virtual ones either (in the before times)
