BBH: New Genres?

This week’s question comes Sam @ Another Book On the Shelf who asks:

Do you have a genre you haven't read before but would like to?

Not really, no. I have genres that I think I should read more of (Science Fiction, Non-Fiction) and I have a goal this year to learn more about (and therefore read more) graphic novels, but I have read most genres at this point, and anything I haven’t read, I’m not really interested in reading.

What about you? Is there a fresh genre you’d like to try?

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book-related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog

  1. I agree with you. I’m kind of set in my ways and I know what I like. But, I am trying to read more non fiction and more fantasy.

  2. I’m like you in needing to read MORE of some genres, for me it would be crime/mystery/thriller type reads. I don’t read horror and I have NO desire to either 😂

  3. Same here! I think I’m pretty open to all genres and I’ve even tried horror even though it’s very much not my jam. So for me, it’s also more about genres that I want to read more of rather than genres I haven’t tried at all.

  4. Same; can’t think of anything genre I want to try but never have.
Though I can certainly think of genres I haven’t really tried and don’t care to (horror); genres I’ve tried but don’t generally care for (poetry, graphic novels), and genres I should probably try some more in.
