16 books this month, 1 #ARC, 10 from the library and 5 from Kindle Unlimited.

My Christmas RomCom project results were…uneven. I loved four, liked three just fine, and thought that three were…eh. To be fair, I did not give it the full month (next year, I will plan better) and there were a ton of books that I wanted to read that were still on a library hold come 12/31 (again, next year, I will plan better). Overall…yeah, overall I would say that it was a worthwhile exercise.

So, I started the TBR clean out this week. There are probably more on that list that I just need to come to terms with, but I did take a first pass and tossed everything that I know I’m not interested in right now. I also removed a couple that I bought the Audiobooks for. HOWEVER, there are a bunch of new releases in January on there now, so it’s really not any more manageable. Sigh. Good thing these aren’t real books. They’d collapse and suffocate me.
So, that’s the current state of my virtual library pile. What do you have out from the library now?

The Library Checkout blog meme was created by Shannon of River City Reading and previously hosted by Charleen of It’s a Portable Magic. It has been hosted by Bookish Beck since 2017.
I just started reading Remnant Population, it’s good so far!

Just got two out from the library at the moment:
Imaginary Cities, Darran Anderson (via interlibrary loan) and
We Shall Rise, John Ringo and Gary Poole
But have have nearly 50 more on hold (across several area libraries) and who knows how many more in the TBR list!

Curious about Seven Husbands. And Apples Never Fall, honestly. I like Liane Moriarty a lot but heard her last one wasn’t so great.

I hope you enjoy Eight Perfect Hours, it was one of my favorite books last year. I also enjoyed All the Feels. I’m hoping to get to The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, sometime this year.

I keep seeing the cover of Duke, Actually around and it looks so cute! I’m definitely gonna have to check it out/keep it on my radar! I also can’t wait to read Malibu Rising as it’s been too long since I last read TJR and I’ve missed the way she slays my emotions 😂 I hope you’re enjoying your January reads so far!
