This weeks question comes to us from Julie at JadeSky, who asks—
Have you ever gotten a book signed by the author?
Sort of. I am not a big fan of books as collectibles. But a looooong time ago…like in the nineties…film director Kevin Smith was selling autographed copies of some book-versions of some of his scripts.
I was a fan, and the price wasn’t horrible, so I sprang for an autographed copy of Chasing Amy.
He signed it “You know, I almost called the flick ‘Chasing Lori’. I mean it. I’m not just saying that to get into your pants.”

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book-related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog
I certainly don’t collect them. But when I knew I’d be in a place the author would be signing books I did take my old ratty paperback of Short Victorious War along to get David Weber to sign it. While book 3 it was the first one in the series that I’d personally bought, and so had the most attachment for me.

That’s quite a story! I love it ❤ My signed books are definitely creating quite a big stack. I can never resist when it comes up.
